SWAK – Seal Water Automation Kit
PROCESSTEC develops practical solutions that help engineers, operators, and maintenance teams integrate process equipment safely and efficiently. One of these solutions is the Seal Water Automation Kit (SWAK).

The Seal Water Automation Kit (SWAK) provides a reliable and automated supply of seal water for equipment using double acting mechanical seals (DAMS). The system ensures stable seal water flow, protecting mechanical seals and improving overall equipment reliability.
SWAK can be installed on a wide range of process equipment equipped with DAMS, including Agitators, Pumps, Mixers, and Emulsifiers.
The system allows PLC-controlled seal water supply and includes all fittings, tubing, and valves required for plug-and-play installation. SWAK can be integrated into new process systems or retrofitted to existing equipment.
The kit includes a compact flow meter with programmable set point, a solenoid or pneumatic shut-off valve, and all necessary stainless steel tubing, fittings, and electrical connectors required for installation.
Key Advantages
Included Components
The SWAK system integrates all required components into a compact assembly designed for reliable operation.
The Burkert Solenoid Shutoff Valve (left) automatically starts or stops the seal water supply together with the mechanical seal system.
The IFM Flow Meter (right) continuously monitors:
This allows operators to maintain optimal operating conditions for mechanical seals.

Each Seal Water Automation Kit includes:

All components are preselected and matched to ensure quick installation and reliable system performance.
SWAK Mounting Brackets
SWAK systems are frequently used with Processtec ViscoTwin G10 twin screw pumps, where they provide controlled seal water supply for DAMS sealing systems.
The system can be installed with or without a mounting bracket, allowing flexible installation depending on the machine configuration.
The SWAK mounting brackets are designed to accept inlet water from either the left or right side of the pump, depending on installation requirements.
Bracket configurations are available for:
Existing SWAK systems can also be retrofitted with mounting brackets, making upgrades to installed equipment straightforward.

SWAK Spare Parts
A major benefit of the Seal Water Automation Kit is that engineers do not need to source individual fittings, valves, or tubing components separately. All parts are preselected and delivered as a complete, compatible system.
For maintenance and service purposes, all SWAK components are also available individually as spare parts, including connectors, valves, flow meters, brackets, and tubing components.
