The Processtec SafeStrainer is a sanitary filtration component designed to protect process equipment and maintain product integrity in demanding production environments. It removes solids from process streams while ensuring safe operation in hygienic industries such as food, beverage, pet food, and personal care processing.

As part of Processtec’s portfolio of sanitary strainers and hygienic filters, it combines effective filtration with a focus on safety and reliability. Its integrated pressure-release and safety-lock mechanism allows the housing to be opened safely during maintenance by releasing internal pressure before the filter element is removed, reducing risks in high-pressure and high-temperature systems.

Built from AISI 316 stainless steel, the SafeStrainer provides reliable filtration performance, robust construction, and straightforward maintenance for sanitary production lines.

Filtration Options

The SafeStrainer is designed for flexible integration into sanitary and hygienic process

Available filter element options include:

• Mesh filters for fine particle removal
• Wedgewire filters for durable filtration and backwash operation
• Perforated cylindrical elements for coarse filtration applications.

The housing supports multiple flow configurations, including inside-to-outside and outside-to-inside filtration, allowing easy integration into sanitary and hygienic process lines.
