Hygienic Valve Design
Unlike cylindrical valve housings, which leave dead space for materials to become lodged or left behind to potentially create an unsanitary environment, GEA hygienic valves employ a ball-shaped housing that simultaneously eliminate dead space and create ideal flow characteristics.
Contact surfaces are both inert and cleanable, have a roughness of RA < 0.8, and do not have pits, crevices, gaps, sharp edges, threads, or dead space.
